About the Author

Joan Mullen is the author of the children’s book, Coal in My Christmas Stocking. Her career as an elementary school principal and speech-language pathologist has spanned over twenty-five years. She loves traveling and learning about other cultures and has lived in Japan, Korea, and Germany.

Joan feels a special affinity for animals and is writing a book series based on a rescued dog. She possesses a strong commitment to helping children and animals and donates 10% of the profits from her books to nonprofit organizations.
